From the Field: Tibetan Monasteries

Shva rDZong Ri KHrod monastery (Chinese: Xiazong si), Ping’an county, Qinghai province. The founder of the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism, Tsongkhapa, was ordained at this monastery aged three. The monastery now has four attendant monks.
