24 - 27 July 2007, University of Leeds, UKFinanced by the European Union Marie Curie Conferences and Training Courses and in collaboration with the Worldwide University Network (WUN), the 2008 Postgraduate Research Summer School was organised with the University of Leeds and held from 24 to 27 July 2007 in Leeds. It aimed to enhance the research approaches and techniques of postgraduate research students and junior researchers.Participants were from European universities and Worldwide Universities Network member universities outside Europe: Nanjing (China), Zhejiang (China), Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (US), California at San Diego (US), Washington at Seattle (US), Wisconsin-Madison (US) and Pennsylvania State (US). A number of self-funded places were offered to research students and junior scholars from these institutions too.
