A special issue of Journal of Current Chinese Affairs (V38, N4, 2009), based on selected papers presented at 9th European Conference on Agriculture and Rural Development in China (ECARDC9), held at the University of Leeds in April 2009, is now available. This is the first of four publications which will appear as a result of the conference.
